Broadway audiences may remember her from from her debut in The Woman in White, the spectacular if troubled Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, or as the sweet ingenue/suspect in Kander and Ebb's Curtains. Or maybe you caught her this summer down in Virginia as Florence, in the Signature Theatre production of Chess. She plays all types, in all eras, in any type of show you throw at her. No matter what you may have seen her in, by now you know she is a star on the rise force to be reckoned with!

I saw her in The 39 Steps and thought she was great! Sad thing is, I never knew that she made her name in musicals first. I'd love to see her in one.

ReplyDeleteI first saw Jill Paice on stage in January 2009, at the A Little Night Music benefit concert (for Roundabout). Laura Benanti had to pull out at the last minute due to illness, and Jill took her spot. I was disappointed to miss seeing Laura Benanti, again (she was out when I saw Gypsy), but Jill did a great job, especially on such short notice. I really enjoyed her performance in Chess too. (But if Laura Benanti is out when I see Women on the Verge next month, I will cry.)
