Well, my "little vacation" ended up lasting two and a half years... funny how life steers your life in directions you weren't planning on. I'll start off with occasional posts, but I fully plan to resume this blog to full speed by the new year.

I hope you'll come back for frequent visits, to see new reviews, to share opinions, to take a survey (or two), and to celebrate the shows and show people that have made the TheatreScene!

Broadway Ladies: Ms. Broadway January 2012: Nikki Renee Daniels

Ms. Broadway January 2012
Nikki Renee Daniels

WHY SHE'S MS. BROADWAY:  With several Broadway and regional credits on her resume, she's been entertaining audiences for several years in a wide variety of roles.  On Broadway, she's seen her share of hits - AIDA, Les Miserables (revival) - and flops - The Look of Love, Lestat.  It is her current role as the tragic heroine, Clara, in The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess that has her poised on the edge of real Broadway stardom.  She starts the epic musical with a gorgeous rendition of "Summertime," and ends the evening with well-deserved cheers at the curtain call.  Rave reviews and a major supporting role in this headline-making revival make Nikki Renee Daniels an excellent choice for the new year's first Ms. Broadway.
