Well, my "little vacation" ended up lasting two and a half years... funny how life steers your life in directions you weren't planning on. I'll start off with occasional posts, but I fully plan to resume this blog to full speed by the new year.

I hope you'll come back for frequent visits, to see new reviews, to share opinions, to take a survey (or two), and to celebrate the shows and show people that have made the TheatreScene!

Face of the Future: HARDBODY'S Jon Rua

You might have seen him as Sonny or Grafitti Pete in In the Heights.  Or maybe you'll catch him as Jesus Pena in the brand new musical, Hands on a Hardbody.  In his latest role, Jon Rua gets time to sing, dance and take us on an emotional ride from laughter to tears and back again - all with his two hands firmly planted on a big red truck!  With any luck, you'll have plenty of chances to see him.

And if you miss him in it, no worries...this guy is sure to be starting a long stage career on Broadway.  After all, he is a face of the future!
