HERE'S WHAT'S NEW:
Well, my "little vacation" ended up lasting two and a half years... funny how life steers your life in directions you weren't planning on. I'll start off with occasional posts, but I fully plan to resume this blog to full speed by the new year.
I hope you'll come back for frequent visits, to see new reviews, to share opinions, to take a survey (or two), and to celebrate the shows and show people that have made the TheatreScene!

When You're Good to Mama: CHICAGO Matrons Over the Years
Roz Ryan (she's done more performances in the Broadway company than anyone else) and the arrival of another record-setter, Bebe Neuwirth, as Matron "Mama" Morton (she is the only performer - so far- that will have played all three principal female roles) in the record-breaking revival of Chicago, I thought I'd take a pictorial look back at some of the notable Mamas that have played the role on Broadway, the West End, on tour and on film. And tomorrow, I'll have a review of Neuwirth's new Live at 54 Below CD!
THE ORIGINAL "MAMA" - MARY MCCARTY (ORIGINAL BROADWAY CAST)
THE ORIGINAL "MAMA" - MARCIA LEWIS (ORIGINAL BROADWAY REVIVAL CAST)
THE MOTION PICTURE "MAMA" - QUEEN LATIFA
"MAMAS" ON BROADWAY, THE WEST END AND ON TOUR
Kelly Osbourne, Christine Pedi
Aida Turturro, Sophia Vergara
Wendy Williams, Chandra Wilson
AND BROADWAY'S NEWEST "MAMA" - BEBE NEUWIRTH
