NPH as Bobby was genius...true he still looks a little young for the role...but I've never seen anyone so completely emotional as he portrayed Bobby during BEING ALIVE! I want to own this DVD! Loved seeing it in a theatre with others who also felt like we were right there at Avery Fisher Hall! marcnt77@hotmail.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9056238063013699574.post-73150763183991109942011-06-22T13:35:04.063-04:002011-06-22T13:35:04.063-04:00What a fabulous review...you hit every nail on the...What a fabulous review...you hit every nail on the head! I had the great good fortune to see the show live in the second row at Avery Fischer Hall, and you are absolutely right that even from there, I couldn't truly appreciate the exquisite nuances of Ms. LuPone's incredible performance. The whole production was an evening I'll never forget, and the filmed version was no less thrilling, with its great close-up shots and excellent cuts. I, too, hope this will be released on DVD. It would indeed be amazing!Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16571163550088476955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9056238063013699574.post-52279772741990575542011-06-18T00:29:57.193-04:002011-06-18T00:29:57.193-04:00I just got home from this! It was great to have the close-ups I didn't have when seeing it live. That day was such a thrill, and I loved this nearly as much. How often do you get such an extraordinary collection of talent on one stage at the same time? And performing a show/score so outstanding. There aren't that many shows where I think pretty much every song is fantastic and makes me equally happy/excited to hear it. Company is one of those shows. I really hope this will be released on DVD. How amazing would that be?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
